Grand Opening Event Details

The launch of the new Envision site in Providence IS FINALLY HERE! Robert Childs, the Site Director, arrived on site in the spring and has begun hosting missions teams over the summer. We are now ready to celebrate an official GRAND OPENING for Envision Providence.

The event is scheduled for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6. We are combining a “Great Day of Serving” component with a community block party.

ALL ALLIANCE CHURCH LEADERS AND MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND! Pastors and leaders, please share this invitation with your congregations and leadership teams. Individuals or groups interested in attending can RSVP in the links below.

9:00 am – Service Projects
Our goal is to have as many Alliance family members as possible arrive at the Envision Providence site and head out to serve the local community. We are partnering with the International Alliance ChurchCentro Cristiano de Adoración, and the Providence Hmong Church to coordinate service projects and opportunities throughout the Providence area. These will include park clean-ups, neighborhood street clean-ups, and knocking on doors to bless and serve community members.

WE NEED YOU TO RSVP! In order to appropriately prepare and schedule the projects, we need to know how many people will be arriving at the site. Please visit the ANE Grand Opening Event Page to register your attendance. You can also RSVP through the ANE Facebook Event page.

12:00 pm – Neighborhood Block Party
After all our Alliance family members complete their service projects, we will return and host a neighborhood block party at the Envision Providence site. We will have food, drinks, games, and activities. We are sending invitations to the residents around Envision, as well as local businesses and community representatives. Our goal is to spread the word to the people of Providence that Envision is here and ready to serve.

From Noon until 4pm, we will gather with the people of Providence. A short Grand Opening ceremony will be held around 2pm – because what is a grand opening without a ribbon cutting! – and we will have representatives available from our local partner churches and information about the Envision programs (ESL and AWANA) kicking off in the fall.

The event will wrap up around 4pm so anyone travelling into the area has enough time to return home.

We are very excited about Envision and the opportunities it will bring to partner with our local churches serving the Latino, Cambodian and Hmong communities within Providence. PLEASE JOIN US! The more Alliance family members that attend, the greater the impact we can have with sharing the news about what Envision has to offer the city of Providence.

The entire event is free. We simply need an RSVP. So click here and let us know you’ll be here!

Questions – feel free to contact Robert directly.
